Is this you?

If you're working in a role that seems pretty impressive on the outside...but it doesn't FEEL good for you on the inside, you're in the right place.  Maybe you...:

  • Tried "Plan A" for your career, but feel lost now that Plan A isn't giving you all the fulfillment, growth, challenge, and money you had hoped it would.
  • Have been wondering, "Is the problem me? Or, is it the job?"
  • Feel like you've been questioning everything you thought you wanted in your career.
  • Find your brain trying to convince you "it isn't that bad," or, "I should be grateful for what I have" so that you stop going on Indeed.com and LinkedIn.com on you phone every night in bed.
  • Definitely know what you DON'T want in your next role, but aren't sure what you truly DO desire.

Any of these sound like you? You're not alone -- navigating a happy, healthy, sustainable career path is not only hard, but a job nobody ever taught us how to do in school.

And, what's more: there's a strategic framework for how to map out the next stages of your career that can help you feel satisfied, successful, and like you're living out your full potential.

Want to learn it?

You're invited to join an intimate group of us at Career Clarity LIVE, a one-day immersive small group online workshop to help you unleash your full potential, create success on your own terms, and identify the right career fit for you.

Through Career Clarity LIVE, you will...

  • Develop clarity and confidence about what you want.
  • Regain the momentum and “spark” in your professional life as well as your personal life.
  • Zoom out to see the big picture and create a vision for where you’re going.

And you'll do it in community with other incredible, kind, generous people looking to insert more LIFE back into their work life.

You're not alone. You've got this, and we've got you.

What will we cover at Career Clarity LIVE?

At this one-day event online on April 4th, we are going to cover a *lot* of ground together:

Session 1: Opening the pathway to your ideal work

The Problem: "I don't know what I want, but it's not this."

When you've been doing the same type of work for more than 5 years, you may feel scared that you don't know everything else that's out there (and feel uncertain about how to start exploring). Or, if you've made a career change before and it hasn't been perfect for you, you might feel exhausted because you've tried everything you can think of and fearful of messing up your next move.

The Solution: To expand your possibilities, we need to expand your thinking.

I’ve helped more than 500 people get jobs they never thought possible, like jumping up 4 title levels in one leap, starting dream businesses, landing fully remote roles, and negotiating 6 weeks of bonus parental leave.

In this part of the workshop, I’ll show you the specific steps to help you get clear on exactly what you want -- and opening the possibility that you can actually get it. We'll talk about the legacy you want to leave, and use it to see exactly how work fits into that future picture. If you want to create success on your own terms, we have to define things truly matter most in your own life.

Session 2: Breaking free from limitations and patterns of past work experiences

The Problem: "Why do I keep ending up in places where I'm hitting a growth ceiling, surrounded by uninspiring colleagues, or fighting a toxic company culture?"

You may have moved between jobs before, but feel frustrated that you keep running into the same issues over and over again: a difficult relationship with your boss, unsupportive (or, cutthroat) teammates, or a work environment that's out of alignment with your values. After experiencing these situations over and over again, you might feel like making another change is hopeless, and it'll just be the same crap on a different day.

The Solution:  We'll use what's working to map out what's next.

To get clarity in your next empowering career steps, we have to start where you are, so we'll begin by identifying both what has been working along with what *hasn't* been working for you in your path thus far.

If we write down your "do not want" list and understand the ways your current self has been held back, repeating maladaptive patterns, or playing small, we can start to understand what components a great-fit job for you will have. Getting specific (and not being afraid to release the past) helps create a smart and strategic plan for the future that unleashes your full potential instead of minimizing it.

Session Three: Generating your Action Plan for landing your ideal job as quickly as possible

The Problem: "I'm so busy that I struggle to get momentum and take action to bring my ideas to life."

If you’ve come up with ideas for possible fulfilling future careers, but life seems to always get in the way of getting traction to truly changing your situation, this part of the workshop could change your life. Fear about what's next is natural, and if you don't have a strategy for how to manage it, it will keep you stuck. You don't want to settle for long-term unhappiness because you were nervous about short-term uncertainties.

The Solution: You need a practical action plan that manages risk and that fits into a busy life.

If we come up with great ideas for your next career move but don't equip you with a pragmatic set of action steps, it's almost as if we didn't accomplish anything. We want you to leave this workshop with more than just good feels, so we'll break down your ideal career goal into both baby steps and "up the ante" moves, and give you the opportunity to courageously collaborate with other people in the room to get off to a hot start. We want you walking out of this workshop feeling helped, motivated, and clear on your next steps to change your life and make it happen!

Let's transform Your Career This Year!

This event is over for 2020...but will be back!

Starting at 9am and running until 4:30pm that afternoon, we'll be diving DEEP into topics like how to create the kind of success you want, why it's so challenging to find careers that fit you, and how to understand if you're leaving potential on the table.

Why? Because life is too short to do work that doesn't light you up.

When was the last time you invested in creating a
happier, more aligned career path?

You probably invested tens of thousands of dollars for your undergrad degree...and maybe even another chunk of change into a grad degree (which you may or may not be using in your job).

In all areas of life that are crucial to your mental and emotional health, we seek out help when we’re not making the progress we want: therapists, chiropractors, yoga classes, personal trainers, physical therapists, pastors, nutritionists, and more.

Yet in our careers, where we spend more waking hours each day than we spend with our friends or loved ones (or even sleeping!), we’re told we should “figure it out by ourselves.”

When you take on this painful and limiting mindset, you're far more likely to stay at a job or career path that isn’t serving you for months — or years — passed the expiration date.

How long can you afford not to get started making a change? Being stressed or unhappy in your work has huge implications across all aspects of your life: artificially low energy, tension in your body carried in your muscles and joints, getting sick more often (and staying sick longer), being grumpy or disrespectful towards your partner (or family) (or friends), and less time to pursue the things that your paycheck is supposed to empower you to do.

Chronic career frustration is often a sign you’re de-prioritizing your own happiness. It’s time you reclaim it.

What’s my background?

I’m Career Clarity founder and CEO Lisa Lewis, and if there’s a job out there, I’ve probably done it.

In the first decade of my career, I created opportunities to work for some of the world’s most coveted, sexy brands. I figured out the rules to the game and got interviews and offers from amazing companies like:

  • At Seventeen Magazine, I was playing with makeup all day and pitching stories to editors.

  • At CBS Sports, I assisted with production for live sports broadcasts during March Madness.

  • At Teen Vogue, I researched and reported articles about the fashion industry to publish daily on their website.

  • At 2U, I ran multi-million dollar digital marketing campaigns to recruit students into online graduate programs.

While there were things about each of these roles that I truly loved, what I really found my passion in was figuring out who I am beyond my job — and helping other people do the same.

I realized that no job in itself is going to make you happy, unless you know how that job fits into your values and your life.

REAL CAREER CLARITY EVENT ATTENDEE FEEDBACK:

What  People Said About Career Clarity LIVE

T H A N K  Y O U for the virtual workshop yesterday! It was wonderful to connect with everyone (and especially you) on an important subject but even more so during these times of isolation.  I appreciate the energy you gave through the screen.

Your Career Clarity summit was amazing!

The Career Clarity Live Summit was incredible. I really appreciated the exercises. It had me truly evaluate what work means for me. Your class helped me to understand that I wasn't unhappy with the work I've done, but I become dissatisfied when the job or work does not afford me my non- negotiables (time with children, flexibility, personal development). It is important that I keep this at the front of my job hunt/opportunity decision making.

An attendee of your event just called me gushing about how much she enjoyed today and how excited she is to be introduced to the Career Clarity method. Literally spent 30 minutes reflecting on everything from today. She loved your approach and openness. Said that she felt safe to share and not judged.

Thanks for your amazing workshop today!!

Thank you for the seminar today! It helped get some great ideas going and it was a great group of people!

I just wanted to send you a BIG Thank You for the excellent workshop on Saturday. I admit I had some concerns about being on a zoom call all day after being in them all week. But you did a fantastic job of keeping the content interactive and engaging. And I really enjoyed the time in the breakout groups too. I'm sure it wasn't easy to prepare for something like this and I want you to know that you did an awesome job. I know I got a lot out of the day and look forward to staying connected with the rest of the group.
